As a wholesale tour operator specializing in the culture and history segment, our purpose is to create and distribute Experience Products and Tours with History, as well as organize Cultural Events aimed at promoting tourism.
Sandymar's tourism products are distributed through travel agencies, tour operators, tourism agents or associations, through elaborate attractive packages including all or part of transport, accommodation and food.
Sandymar's mission is to provide travel experiences that combine all dimensions and explore the 5 senses in a sensory and cognitive symbiosis capable of positively impacting travelers, destinations and host communities.
Our History
Founded in 2015 by Cape Verdean businesswoman Marvela Rodrigues, with 35 years of experience gained in the travel and tourism agency market, Sandymar based its offer on knowledge, quality and differentiation of the tourism product.
The first steps of the Sandymar project were completed with the publication in April 2017 of the book Cabo Verde: Darwin's Awakening - Paths of Charles Darwin on Santiago Island, by historians António Correia e Silva and Zelinda Cohen, a description of the moments of passages of the English naturalist Charles Darwin through the archipelago of Cape Verde, more precisely the island of Santiago.
This literary work was the main subsidy for structuring the offer of a tourist and cultural itinerary in Cape Verde: CHARLES DARWIN EXPERIENCE, Sandymar's first exclusive product.
